Biografie

Oliver Ressler, geboren 1970 in Knittelfeld, Österreich, lebt und arbeitet in Wien.

Oliver Ressler führt Projekte zu unterschiedlichen gesellschaftspolitischen Themen durch. Seit 1994 arbeitet er an Ausstellungen, Arbeiten im Außenraum und Videos zu Themen wie Ökonomie, Rassismus, Gentechnologie, Widerstandsformen und gesellschaftlichen Alternativen. Zahlreiche von Resslers Projekten werden in Kooperationen entwickelt, wie das Projekt “Boom!” mit dem US-Künstler David Thorne, die Filme “Venezuela von unten” und “5 Fabriken – Arbeiterkontrolle in Venezuela” mit dem Politikwissenschaftler Dario Azzellini, oder zahlreiche Projekte zu den Themenbereichen Rassismus und Migration mit dem Künstler Martin Krenn. Zuletzt wurde gemeinsam mit der australischen Künstlerin Zanny Begg der Film “What Would It Mean To Win?” fertig gestellt.
