{"id":3565,"date":"2020-06-22T08:30:43","date_gmt":"2020-06-22T08:30:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dxyqq.w4yserver.at\/WP1\/its-the-political-economy-stupid\/"},"modified":"2020-11-09T13:20:26","modified_gmt":"2020-11-09T13:20:26","slug":"its_the_political_economy_stupid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ressler.at\/de\/its_the_political_economy_stupid\/","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s the Political Economy, Stupid"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ein Ausstellungszyklus kuratiert von Oliver Ressler und Gregory Sholette<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>2011-2016<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Globalisierung, Privatisierung, flexible Arbeitspl\u00e4ne, deregulierte M\u00e4rkte; 30 Jahre neoliberaler Kapitalismus haben die meisten Regierungen der Welt dazu veranlasst, ihre fr\u00fchere Rolle als Schiedsinstanzen zwischen der Sicherheit der Mehrheit und dem Profitstreben des Unternehmenssektors teilweise oder v\u00f6llig aufzugeben. Daher \u00fcberrascht es keinesfalls, dass in dem Augenblick, als Probleme im amerikanischen Immobilien- und Finanzsektor 2008 zu einer globalen Finanzkrise f\u00fchrten, Regierungen in der ganzen Welt Billionen von Dollars in Banken und Versicherungsgesellschaften pumpten und damit tats\u00e4chlich den gr\u00f6\u00dften Kapitaltransfer in den Privatsektor schufen, den es je gegeben hatte. Ein oft zitiertes Argument dieser noch nie da gewesenen Aktion lautete, dass viele dieser transnationalen Unternehmen zu gro\u00df seien, um Bankrott zu gehen (\u201ctoo big to fail\u201d). Staaten borgten sich Kapital aus, um Finanzinstitute zu retten, was zu einer steigenden Staatsschuld und der faktischen Insolvenz einiger L\u00e4nder f\u00fchrte. Diese Budgetdefizite h\u00e4tten wohl gemanagt werden k\u00f6nnen, wenn reiche transnationale Unternehmen gezwungen worden w\u00e4ren, die Wirtschaft zu st\u00fctzen. Stattdessen entschieden sich die neoliberalen Regierungen daf\u00fcr, Sparprogramme einzuf\u00fchren, die die \u00f6ffentlichen Dienste und Sozialleistungen radikal k\u00fcrzten. Die Idee des modernen Nationalstaates ist in Gefahr, wenn der entterritorialisierte Fluss des Finanzkapitals all das, was solide war, in Rohmaterial f\u00fcr Marktspekulation und biopolitische Verm\u00f6gensbildung verschmilzt. Die soziale Ordnung und die Vorstellung von Regierung mit ihrem archaischen Versprechen von Sicherheit und Gl\u00fcck sind zu einer weiteren Form des modernen Ruins geworden.
